The Kids Safety Village of Durham Region is a kid-sized version of a real town located in Whitby.
Set on 1.2 acres, the Kids Safety Village features small buildings, detailed roadways, real traffic lights and road signs, an operational railway crossing, pedal cars, scooters, bicycles and two full classrooms (one for personal and road safety training, and the other one for fire safety training).

What they are saying about us …
We took our two year old to the holiday event and it was wonderful. The whole village was decorated for Christmas, Santa was there and handed out candy canes, and they had a craft for the kids to do. I hadn’t been here since I was a kid and went with school. This place is very educational and interactive. It teaches all about road safety. It’s quite awesome.
Whether it’s for Halloween, Easter, or open play in the summer, the police and volunteers put on some great events, lots of fun for the kids, especially with all the small buildings. In the summer they have bikes and scooters for the kids to use, and the pretend streets are a great place for kids to safely get comfortable on them!
What a great way to spend our morning! My three year old absolutely loved walking the village and she learned so much. Will definitely visit again 🙂
Super cute village for kids to learn about being safe but also they run amazing events for Easter, summer break, Halloween and Christmas!
