9-1-1 and Community Helpers
Offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
in December, January, February and March
This interactive program introduces students to some of the special people who help in their communities, police, firefighters, and paramedics. Students learn how to identify these people as well as what their jobs entail. The second portion of the program is learning about 9-1-1, identifying what an emergency is and when to call 9-1-1.

Your class will receive 9-1-1 / Community Helpers and Electrical Safety

The second portion of the program is learning about 9-1-1, identifying what an emergency is and when to call 9-1-1. –
We welcomed Elexicon to our Kids Safety Village family of sponsors. They will be offering an Electrical Safety class for students in grade 1.
Elexicon’s new mascot “Lucky the Squirrel” will show kids why it’s not safe to touch powerlines or electrical equipment.
Students will also get to see miniature versions of powerlines and electrical boxes in our Village.
If you attend on a Wednesday
Your class will receive 9-1-1 / Community Helpers and Fire Safety
This interactive program introduces students to some of the special people who help in their communities, police, firefighters, and paramedics. Students learn how to identify these people as well as what their jobs entail.
The second portion of the program is learning about 9-1-1, identifying what an emergency is and when to call 9-1-1. students will learn about some of the top causes of fire in the community, fire prevention techniques, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, home escape planning and general fire hazards.
If you attend on a Thursday
Your class will learn about 9-1-1 / Community Helpers and instruction from EMS
This interactive program introduces students to some of the special people who help in their communities, police, firefighters, and paramedics. Students learn how to identify these people as well as what their jobs entail. The second portion of the program is learning about 9-1-1, identifying what an emergency is and when to call 9-1-1. Your students will also have instruction from EMS that covers topics such as personal safety and playground safety.

11am-11:45 am Depending on what day you attend either Fire, EMS or Elexicon class instruction
11:45am-12:10pm Lunch
12:10pm-12:30pm Walking Tour of Village (weather permitting)
12:30pm End of day
Maximum 30 students per class up to 2 classes per visit.
